Detour is a music and arts collective based in London, Berlin and Istanbul. We organize regular events, collaborating with various artists to create a platform where musicians can interact with visual artists to showcase their work; always in a fun environment.
We would like to thank everyone who came down to the Questionmark Bar last Sunday for our Seasons - Spring 2012 event. Also thanks to Batu Gundal and Bahar Chirali for an inspiring performance with their Captive Moments project.

Detour & LXXIII present ‘SEASONS’
Detour has teamed up with LXXIII to create a new quarterly event themed ‘Seasons’ and proudly present our first installment, Spring 2012.
Seasons sets to be something more than your usual Sunday afternoon party; an exploration between electronic music and live art. We’ll be hosting the latest sounds in techno & house music, crafting a musical journey inspired by the current season Spring 2012. This provides a platform for collaborating visual artists to produce live artwork inspired by the music. Each season will be host to new visual artists and fresh ideas, transforming your average Sunday afternoon into something special.
For Spring 2012 we bring you a creative duo from Cyprus; Batu Gundal & Bahar Chirali showcasing their signature project “Captive Moments” for a UK debut. 2 artists, 1 large canvas and a tremendous amount of paint! Aiming to capture the mood of Spring 2012 and to express the feelings one endures, driven by movement, music and the atmosphere. An experiment in live, abstract, action painting.

This Saturday (28/01) we’ll be taking over the decks at Innsbruck’s Aftershave Club as our residents Murat Alibaba, Johan Lundin and Dave Smith join Jon Michalsky from Poolsight, for a night of musical excellence from hip swinging house to head banging techno.
This will be followed by an afterparty up in the Alps, on the Sunday afternoon (29/01) at the unique location Cloud9 - Iglu Bar!

Following our highly acclaimed “September Edition”, we’re back at the Questionmark for some more quality Detour action, after a busy couple of months “detouring” Berlin and Istanbul. Those of you who made it to our September edition at Stoke Newingtons’ hotspot The Questionmark Bar, know what a special night this was. Our guest dj’s Slavaki from Elusive Records and Jon Michalsky played some outstanding music together with our residents Dave Smith, Johan Lundin and Murat Alibaba. We had an amazing crowd, a good vibe and lots of blissful faces. Thanks to everyone who was there, danced and partied with us. Our next one is coming soon!
