Detour is a music and arts collective based in London, Berlin and Istanbul. We organize regular events, collaborating with various artists to create a platform where musicians can interact with visual artists to showcase their work; always in a fun environment.
As we trot through January, most of us still replenishing our souls from all the Christmas and New Year shenanigans, we are happy to take part at “We Love Saturday Morning” at Cable on the 2nd February! Detour resident Murat Alibaba will be behind the decks for some tasty afterhours goodness.
The next installment of our ‘Seasons’ exhibition and party, Summer 2012 is coming up soon… Come and enjoy the artwork that’ll be displayed by contributing artists Morgan Beringer, Ric Smith and Yusuf Gencer together with cutting edge house and techno music that’ll get your summer groove on. We’re flying in a special guest from Berlin, Vale Colvin (Cigarra FM) that’ll join the usual suspects Murat Alibaba and Sid (LXXIII) for some serious music action. More info…
Special thanks to Mr Andres Bucci himself for the quality music and everyone who made it to the Questionmark Bar on Saturday. Hats off to our lovely crowd. You guys rocked!
We hope to see you again for another smashing session in August where Detour joins LXXIII for the second instalment of our Seasons project: SUMMER 2012. More info soon!
We’re proud to present Andres Bucci at the Questionmark Bark on the 23rd for some serious good vibes.
Andres Bucci is no new player in the scene. He has been behind the production consoles for many years now, having built up a solid reputation with his trademark analogue sounds and love for 808s and 101s. The Chilean producer has played Berlins hotspots like Watergate and Panoramabar and has been releasing on various labels. His latest release on Hummingbird, “Mental Menthology” is a full 9 track album featuring remixes from label boss Edgar Jack and Doubting Thomas, getting the attention it deserves by worldwide DJ’s. The new EP “Jackin Jungle” sees the day of light on Pier Bucci’s label Maruca Music and is sounding sweet!

Joining Andres Bucci on the night will be Slavaki - the London based Elusive records boss together with Detour resident Murat Alibaba. Slavaki has been our regular favourite now, also busy working on new material for Elusive Records. Check out his latest EP!
From now on, we will be posting a weekly track - something we like, we find interesting, beautiful, a pick of our taste… We start with some uplifting techno from CVBox’s new EP Analogue Amputations - Past The Eclipse. Enjoy the weekend!
We would like to thank everyone who came down to the Questionmark Bar last Sunday for our Seasons - Spring 2012 event. Also thanks to Batu Gundal and Bahar Chirali for an inspiring performance with their Captive Moments project.
Time to start preparing for Summer 2012!
Detour & LXXIII present ‘SEASONS’
Detour has teamed up with LXXIII to create a new quarterly event themed ‘Seasons’ and proudly present our first installment, Spring 2012.
Seasons sets to be something more than your usual Sunday afternoon party; an exploration between electronic music and live art. We’ll be hosting the latest sounds in techno & house music, crafting a musical journey inspired by the current season Spring 2012. This provides a platform for collaborating visual artists to produce live artwork inspired by the music. Each season will be host to new visual artists and fresh ideas, transforming your average Sunday afternoon into something special.
For Spring 2012 we bring you a creative duo from Cyprus; Batu Gundal & Bahar Chirali showcasing their signature project “Captive Moments” for a UK debut. 2 artists, 1 large canvas and a tremendous amount of paint! Aiming to capture the mood of Spring 2012 and to express the feelings one endures, driven by movement, music and the atmosphere. An experiment in live, abstract, action painting.
