Detour is a music and arts collective based in London, Berlin and Istanbul. We organize regular events, collaborating with various artists to create a platform where musicians can interact with visual artists to showcase their work; always in a fun environment.
Murat Alibaba
Resident DJ at Detour London - Murat has been organizing regular nights under the Detour collective over the past few years as he actively polishes his DJ and production skills. Focusing on forward thinking, deep grooves and a tech sound, his sets usually aim at exposing new, less popular underground music that really gets the crowd moving.
Influences : Thomas Felhlmann, Marcel Dettmann , Ben Klock, Tobi Neuman, Jay Haze, Skudge, Kris Wadsworth, Ryan Elliot.
Christian Rechner
DJ, producer and video artist, born in Santiago, Chile. He begun the detourlondon dj collective back in 2007. In 2009 created the Ableton Live myspace usergroup in London.
Influenced by the berlin and frankfurt old schools, the detroit 90’s scene and also the Köln based label platform Kompakt.
His music creations are unexpected, just as a tool for expression. When that expressive moment is captured into a recording is when you can share it and make others feel in a similar way, thats the beauty about it.
Johan Lundin
London based Dj and producer from Sweden. Former songwriter and drummer of the indie band Latour,he played numerous gigs in The UK, Sweden and Germany.
He set up the popular Inside Out parties at Fluid in Farringdon followed by Therapy at Home bar in Shoreditch. Johan has teamed up with the Detour London crew . He has developed a particular dj style,with deeper house and techno characterised by warm rythms, jazzy drums and subtle melodies. He has released on the Italian label Metempsecosi.
Influences: Afrilounge, Audiofly, Tim Green, Lucca Bachetti and Anja Schneider.
Dave Smith
He first dabbled in electronic music when he was 16, using a Roland Juno, Yamaha DX-7, drum machines and a trusty old Atari-ST running Cubase.Dave has DJ’d at small underground venues in London playing with the firm philosophy that quality music should speak for itself and let the people decide.
His selection ranges from warm bass driven deep house to sublime melodic techno. Dave is currently in his North London laboratory conducting sound experiments and crafting dancefloor led tech- house with Pulce under the moniker J&D Project.
Poolsight
Neno Regoje is resident at Hundertquadrat in Rosenheim, often seen around the clubs in southern Germany and Austria. In 2011 he released on Björn Wilkes Label “KAATO”.
Jon Michalsky hosts music events like “endstation” in Clubs in Austria. He recently releases tracks on “TULIPA Recordings”
POOLSIGHT reflects a mix of influences, with a stir of London Underground and German techno. In 2011 they joined the Agency “BLOSSOM KOLLEKTIV”
Richard Rams
Richard Rams Started his career back in 2006. Underground radio stations inspired him to bound his future for DJing and to express himself through the rhythm.
He has played in clubs like Turnmills, Barakuda Club Newquay and the Cross London with techy Latin sounds of minimal.
He has been resident at Bar 54 and plays now with Teleport twice a month.
Eliot Short
Eliot Short is musician who explores creating music through software, live looping and improvisation. Eliot’s influences stem from a career in live performing on violin, mandolin and vocals. He has performed at festivals, pubs, events and parties all over the UK and South Africa
Gare D’ici
Gare D’ici are based in London and were formed in mid 2010 by Marc David and Simon Middleton who co-write and produce the songs. They combine a laptop running Ableton Live with live synths and vocals to create an original blend of Portugese and British Electronica.
Deb Cervone
American percussionist and guitarist, has played and performed in the USA and London. She was a member of various world music groups in the U.S. She co-founded and performed with Animus, a heavily middle-eastern influenced world fusion band for 8 years in Philly.
Deb became a licensed busker in the London Underground, also performed with Mad`Moiselles, DJ Christian Rechner.. Her style is eclectic/world and she uses various instruments like guitar, bass, darbouka, ashiko, djembe, didgeridoo, and various percussions.
Mad*Moiselles
The mademoiselles, folkie band of girls, boys sometimes , all musicians obviously, from all corners of the world, they love the buzz of preforming music to whoever is happy to listen.
